RRCAT(DAE) - Ph.D. programme (MSc)

Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT), Indore, invites application from Indian citizens for Ph.D. programme 2012



Qualification :
* For Physics candidates:M.Sc. degree in Physics with a minimum of 60% marks, and who have cleared Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST 2012) and/or CSIR-UGC NET in 2011 (JRF, not lecturer ship).
* For Chemistry and Life Sciences candidates: M.Sc. degree with minimum 60% marks, in Chemistry or Life Sciences, and who have cleared joint CSIR-UGC Net in 2011 (JRF, not lecturer ship) and/or Gate 2012, are eligible to apply. Candidates with M.Sc. in Botany / Agricultural science should not apply.

Those applicants who are completing M.Sc. in summer of 2012 can also apply, provided they have minimum of 60% overall marks in the completed semesters. In the event of selection, mark sheet of the final M.Sc. result would have to be submitted by November 1, 2012. Continuation in the Ph.D. programme will be subject to the candidate obtaining minimum 60% marks overall. 5 year integrated M.S. (of IISERs) will be treated at par with 5 year integrated M.Sc.

Age limit : The candidates desirous of availing DAE fellowship should be born on or after August 1, 1986. The age limit is relaxable by three years for OBC, and by five years for SC/ST applicants.

Nationality : Applicant must be an Indian citizen.

How to Apply:
The application form is attached below. Two copies of the filled application form, affixed with passport-size photo on each, along with copies of documents mentioned in the application, should be sent to the following address by Registered Post with A/D, or by Speed Post. Applicants are advised to preserve the dispatch receipt for future reference. Please write down on the top of the envelope "Application for RRCAT-Ph.D. Programme-2011 (Physics / Chemistry / Life Sciences)".
