A Walk-in-interview will be conducted in the Committee Room of CSIR-CMERI, Durgapur at the above address on 22nd and 23rd November, 2012 to select candidates for engagement as Project Associate/Senior Project Fellow and Project Fellow under various projects. The vacancy position may vary either way even across the disciplines and projects.

M.Sc. in Chemistry with 55% marks and valid GATE/NET score.
M.Sc. in Chemistry (Specialization in Inorganic Chemistry) with 55% marks and valid GATE/NET score.
M.Sc. in Physical Chemistry/Materials Science with 55% marks and valid GATE/NET score.
Project Associate or Senior Project Fellow
For Project Associate : Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engg.
Desirable : Casting of non ferrous materials.
Or
For Senior Project Fellow : M.E./M.Tech. in Metallurgical Engg.
Desirable : Casting of non ferrous materials
Project Fellow
B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engg/ Production Engg/ Applied Mechanics with valid GATE score The candidate would be required to work for Mechanical Design, CAD, Finite Element Analysis.
B.E. /B. Tech in Mechanical Engg. /Mechatronics with valid GATE Score.
Desirable : Experience in CAD/CAE package like Solid works, inventor, ADAMS and knowledge of micro robotics system / Mechatronics system.
B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics /Instrumentation / Computer Science and Engineering with valid GATE
Score.
Desirable : Experience in micro controller, sensor and actuator related programming in VC++, MATLAB, Lab View/interfacing methods.
B.E / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with valid GATE score
The candidates who have already served CSIR-CMERI as a Trainee / Project Assistant / Project Fellow / JRF / SRF / Research Associate etc. for a period of 5 years or more are not eligible for the above engagements. The candidates who have served for a period less than 5 years, upon selection, their tenure will automatically end on completion of five years.
The date for determining the upper age limit, qualification and/or experience etc. will be the date of interview of the respective Post Code. Relaxation in age limit of the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and Women shall be provided as per the Government rules.
The interested candidates may appear before the Selection Committee with all their original certificates / mark sheets with an attested photo copy of each of it and a recent passport size photograph along with the filled-in application form available in the Institute website, as per the date and time given below. Eligible outstation candidates will be paid to and fro 2nd Class Rail / Bus fare for attending the interview as per rules.
